Webdock is a 100% bootstrapped company and we have been in business since late 2019. We have grown tremendously over the last few years and have consistently managed to scale our infrastructure and platform to meet demand.
Our stack is our own work from the ground up: the control panel, the virtualisation layer and the hardware specification. In 2024 that extended to a datacenter we built in Denmark, now the main EU hub for new deployments.

How custom profiles, resizing, and billing work in practice.
Root access comes with every profile. Resizing a profile never changes that. We only leave direct root password login disabled, so you sign in with your Webdock sudo user and elevate when needed, or re-enable root auth yourself if you prefer. Getting a shell is easiest using our Web SSH terminal. Local SSH clients work the same way once your key is added. See every shell access guide here.
Paired with our Perfect Server stacks, the Webdock Control Panel already handles shell users, databases, PHP, and certificates on a flexible profile. It mirrors much of what cPanel does, but it is not intended for packing many separate sites onto one VPS, read more about why here. For shared hosting, or a feature we have not built yet, you are free to install one of the third party control panels we support, cPanel among them.
Yes, filtering runs in several tiers in front of the network and the whole platform is monitored around the clock, so we often notice an intrusion attempt before you do. Secure defaults apply to every profile, and optional services can be disabled from the control panel.
That is the whole point of flexible profiles. Change CPU, RAM, disk, or network from the Upgrade/Downgrade screen yourself. Most changes apply immediately, though some require a quick reboot.
Yes, each server comes with a dedicated, clean, IPv4 address and an IPv6 range, regardless of the profile you configure.
